Overview:
PSCC Contracting Company is seeking an experienced Interior Design Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our dynamic team of professionals. As an Interior Design Engineer at PSCC, you will play a key role in creating functional, aesthetically pleasing, and innovative interior spaces for our construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in interior design and engineering, excellent communication skills, and a passion for developing creative solutions that meet the needs of our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and project stakeholders to determine project requirements, objectives, and design criteria for interior spaces.
- Develop conceptual designs and detailed interior plans, including space planning, furniture layouts, material selections, and finishes, using relevant software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SketchUp.
- Coordinate with structural, civil, and MEP engineers to integrate engineering systems into interior designs seamlessly.
- Prepare project specifications, cost estimates, and construction schedules and ensure that projects adhere to established budgets and timelines.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and ensure compliance with design specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Evaluate and select construction materials, processes, and equipment based on project requirements, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and relevant regulations to ensure adherence to professional standards and continuous improvement.
- Participate in project presentations and client meetings, effectively communicating design concepts and solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in interior design and engineering, preferably in the design and management of infrastructure projects.
- Professional Interior Designer (PID) or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Proficient in interior design and drafting software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or 3ds Max.
- Strong understanding of interior design principles, construction materials, and industry regulations.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel to project sites, as required.
